    Zara Mens - SS25

    Art Direction, Film Direction, Digital

For Zara’s SS25 Studio collection, Fabien Baron directed a series of cinematic tableaux following a wanderer through the streets of an evocative Asian cityscape. Exquisite cinematography by Oscar nominee Philippe Le Sourd captured distinct glimpses of a mysterious figure across varying settings, times, and moods, with each tableau revealing a new layer of his journey. Inspired by the moody works of masters like Philip-Lorca diCorcia and Wong Kar-Wai, the images were crafted to feel like painterly stills from a film, creating a rich visual journal of a solitary exploration; seemingly unconnected scenes united by an undercurrent of intrigue and high style.

    Zara Mens - FW23

The Zara Man Studio Collection FW23 campaign presented an opportunity to explore themes of convergense within natural and man-made environments. A lone figure journeys to an uncertain destination, captured against striking backdrops mixing the clean with the complex, the dark with the light, known with unknowable. The film explores the ephemeral nature of time and light, weaving intangible elements into a dazzling tapestry of energy.

    Zara Mens - SS24

Zara’s SS24 Mens campaign presented an opportunity to examine the process or a great artist, as introspection gives way to action, and creativity takes flight. A visual tone poem, shot by Annamarieke van Drimmelen, presents a character study of the virtuosic dancer Toon Lobach, in contrast to and inspired by his environment. Fabien Baron’s sumptuous and sensual film, The Rehearsal, explores the trials of harnessing an elusive muse and celebrates the fierce vitality of an artist’s passion.
